Cooperativa Falset Marçà

Cooperativa Falset Marçà

The work of the architect Cèsar Martinell, a friend and disciple of Antoni Gaudí, the Falset cooperative winery is one of the so-called “cathedrals of wine” of southern Catalonia. With nearly a century behind it, this Art Nouveau building still houses the whole process of making wine from the grapes grown by the members of the cooperative. When you visit the inside of the building you’ll discover the century-old vats in which Falset vermouth is made, or some of the secrets of the “ranci” we still age using the “sol i serena” process. As you see the different corners of the winery and taste our Ètim (DO Montsant) wines, you may begin to understand the character of this land and its people.
