Day 1
– Arrival and check-in at the accommodation in Cornudella de Montsant. Reception and welcome briefing
– Dinner at LoRefugi Gastrobar
Day 2. “The Reconquest”
– 14Km circular hiking route. Camins de Conquesta will take you to discover Siurana, the last Arab stronghold in Catalunya Nova.
Day 3. “After the Reconquest, the cradle of the Priory”, Escaladei
– Visit to the Carthusian Monastery of Scala Dei, the first Carthusian monastery on the peninsula and the birthplace of the Priory
– Guided visit to Cellers de Scala Dei, the oldest winery in the Priorat
Day 4. “Oil, the other side of Priorat”, Cabacés
Accompanied by the owners of the Miró Cubells mill, you will discover the olive trees, the mill and enjoy a traditional lunch accompanied by one of the best oils in the world: arbequina oil!
Day 5. Stretch your legs!
– Circular route of about 14 km at the foot of the Montsant Natural Park, following a section of the Camí de Cortoixans until climbing to the highest point of the range: Roca Corbatera at 1164m. On the way down you will pass the Hermitage of Sant Joan del Codolar, the only occupied hermitage in Montsant.
– In the afternoon, the “Taste of Modernisme” will take you to discover the Celler Cooperatiu de Cornudella, a modernist building, the work of César Martinell and one of the well-known Cathedrals of Wine.
– Farewell dinner at LoRefugi Gastrobar
Day 6. back home
After breakfast, you will collect and pack your bags to return home.
