The Vall Llach winery was set up in the early 90s by the Catalan singer Lluís Llach and the notary Enric Costa in Porrera, one of the nine villages in southern Catalonia that make up the DOQ Priorat. We have opted for small, closely-controlled production from our estates and “trossos” (small holdings), always prioritising quality before quantity so as never to lose exhaustive personal control of every stage of the process. Vall Llach, Idus de Vall Llach and Embruix de Vall Llach are the names of our three wines, made from the produce of magnificent estates with vineyards between 90 and 110 years old. Carignan and grenache are the main grape varieties, though today they share the limelight with merlot, cabernet sauvignon and shiraz. All this plus the unique character of the Priorat are what make our fascinating, exclusive wines.
