Celler de L’Era

Celler de l’Era is a family project started in 2002 at Mas de les Moreres
A farm of 72ha. located on the right bank of the Arbolí river, in the municipality of Cornudella de Montsant. Twelve hectares of undulating land where today 41,000 vines of local varieties such as black Grenache and Carignan and others imported such as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are grown, all of them cared for under organic farming regulations. The centuries-old dry stone banks that are found around the estate are clear indications of the effort to take advantage of the hard but generous land of the Priorat.

The winery is located at the Mas de les Moreres, which is part of a documented 17th century architectural ensemble, but there is evidence that it is even older. Today, after having had many uses – during the 19th century it was a hostel – the Mas is recovering its origins with the Celler de l’Era, as a cellar integrated into its old structure.
The Farm bears witness to this legacy: the adjoining room, which today has been adapted as a Tasting Room, was, in its day, a vat for the fermentation of wine.
